Owl Burrows

Tomorrow morning I head to a Madera farm where I will be hopefully installing the first of many artificial Burrowing Owl burrows.



Burrowing Owls are a species of special concern meaning that they are headed on the path to being endangered. According to some, Burrowing Owls should be listed as endangered under the ESA currently. Supplementing natural nesting habitat with artificial burrows is just one way of helping to stem the decline of this beautiful bird.
