Central Valley Birding: A Workshop and Field Trip Series

Volunteers Wanted

Central Valley Birding: A Workshop and Field Trip Series

Fresno Audubon plans to host a combination workshop-field trip series for beginning birders, and other interested parties, and is in need of volunteer presenters and trip leaders.

The proposed workshop series will cover the following local habitats:
  • Birding at Home: A Backyard and Urban Experience
  • Birding on the Valley Floor: Central Valley Wildlife Refuges and Grasslands
  • Birding near Water: Central Valley Rivers, Lakes and Ponding Basins
  • Birding in the Foothills and Sierra Nevada: Lakes and Mountains

Presentations will be held at a centrally located community facility and should be designed for as wide an audience as possible. Workshops and field trips need not be lead by the same individual/s. Trip locations should complement workshop content. This series may include one presentation and one trip per month for 4 consecutive months. Presentation and trip dates to be scheduled with volunteer participants.
